Let’s dive into Noah’s earlier work, some of which he released under the moniker Yevs Kassem. Following his 2020 debut release, “Joy Is A House,” Noah Church has been incredibly prolific.

His last offering, “Bright Death,” is a mesmerising guitar-driven symphony that plumbs emotional depths, delivering heart-wrenching melodies infused with the essence of Death Cab for Cutie’s early days, intertwined with the golden era of Jeff Buckley and Elliot Smith.

To complement the standout track “2007,” Noah teamed up with videographer and fellow Novocastrian, Nikola Jokanovic.

Drawing inspiration from a short story penned by Church, also titled “Bright Death,” the video offers a unique exploration of death from an ‘ordinary’ perspective.

Needle In The Hay is a competition run by Happy Mag, giving one artist the chance to win 250 copies of their single on 7-inch vinyl. To enter or find out more, click here.
