Ben Lee recently swung by our Noise Machines studio for an exclusive Live from Happy session.
On his recent jaunt downunder, The talented indie pop legend hit us with a stripped back version of ‘Crooked Tree’.

During his recent visit to our Noise Machines studio, indie pop maestro Ben Lee treated us to an exclusive Live from Happy session.
Ben made time to come visit Happy on his recent stop into Sydney, the talented musician gifted us with a stripped-down rendition of his track, ‘Crooked Tree.’
‘Crooked Tree’ was born out of having to explain to his daughter why her dad is not like other dads. After hearing Tom Waits talk about it once, using an analogy of a forest… well, you’ll have to catch Ben share that one at the end of the vid, trust us it’s worth it.
With equal parts humour, and great feeling, Ben Lee showed off his guitar chops, and indie rock presence.
Known best for ‘Cigarettes Will Kill You’ to ‘Catch My Disease’ and his newest project ‘Weirder Together with Ben Lee and Ione Skye,’ which is already clocking in an impressive 100 episodes, it’s safe to say that Ben Lee is a man on the move and we’re loving every minute of it.
