Balu Brigada talk us through their makeshift recording spaces, and latest EP ‘Find A Way’

Fresh from dropping their highly anticipated EP “Find A Way,” sibling singer-songwriters Henry and Pierre Beasley, the driving force behind alt-pop outfit Balu Brigada, sat down with Happy for a chat.

“Find A Way,” their latest release, was crafted across New Zealand, Berlin, and New York. This EP not only showcased their musical talent but also their determination, as they set up impromptu recording spaces wherever they found themselves.

Sitting down with the charismatic duo, we discover that “Find A Way” has been their mantra for the past year and half, supporting them on their journey to make their mark in America, Whether it was ‘Find a way to get to America’ or find a way to lease an apartment in NY,  find a way to maintain a long-distance relationship or even just find a way to be present and happy.”

Their creative process involves a back-and-forth exchange, with each of them running through their own gauntlet of cynicism before coming together to refine their tracks.

Balu Brigada’s journey has been one of gradual progress, leading them closer to their dream of making a global musical impact. “Find A Way” perfectly captures this journey, nailing the essence of their experience completely in their catchy as hell EP.
