Odette performs ‘Mandible’ Live From Happy

PRESENTED BY

Singer-songwriter Odette recently visited the Live from Happy studios with her song Mandible. Although it wasn’t a single from her album ‘Herald’ it’s her favourite.

Released in 2021 on her Herald album, Mandible is a realisation of wanting romance, joy hope and lust. But not in a sexy way, like “hey shawty!” more like, sexy to the core.

Coming in special just for us, Odette is preparing for a few festival appearances while also focusing on currently making her next album.

Mandible was Mixed and Recorded by Tim McArtney, Owen Penglis and Radi Safi.

This Live from Happy session was made possible by the generous support of ATEN who provide innovative solutions for making better connections. In this session Happy utilised the indispensable ATEN UH3237 USB-C Docking Station.

Odette shared with us that she’ll release her album when it’s ready. Being scared that if she calls it done, Odette is taking her time so she won’t miss an opportunity for an amazing new song.

Working with Kiah Gosser in Sydney on co-writing and co-producing she’s found her home in Kiah’s studio with its stunning baby grand piano. In the meantime, you’ll have to settle for this stunning solo version of Mandible.

Here’s what Odette had to say about Mandible before taking to the stage:

“Mandible is kinda like slutty but in a whimsical way…and bones and taxidermy. I’m making an album, its technically done, it’s written but I don’t know if its done yet!”
