Urthboy feat. Jarulah performs ‘Cheetah and Gazelle’ Live From Happy

PRESENTED BY

Rapper Urthboy recently visited the Live from Happy studios with friend Jarulah for his single Cheetah and Gazelle. Released a few months back, this was the first single from his upcoming record.

The single Cheetah and Gazelle is about the monotony of life’s chores and reflecting on what’s actually important after a few years of not having so much day-to-day stuff to deal with.

Cheetah and Gazelle was Mixed and Recorded by Tim McArtney, Owen Penglis and Radi Safi.

This Live from Happy session was made possible by the generous support of ATEN who provide innovative solutions for making better connections. In this session Happy utilised the indispensable ATEN UH3237 USB-C Docking Station.

As newcomer Jarulah (watch this space!) features on the single Cheetah and Gazelle, Urthboy invited him in for the live performance. They rolled into the Happy Studios and jumped straight into it without a hitch.

The forthcoming album Savour will be released in two parts — the first half in November and the second half early next year. A modern take on how an album is normally released, and Urthboy backs it.

Here’s what Urthboy had to say about Cheetah and Gazelle before taking to the stage:

“It’s a song that I wrote that really tried to capture this very point in life right now, where there’s a whole lot of routine and day-to-day stuff that you don’t question – rat race type of thing.

I guess these last few years have given us pause for thought and we can reflect on what’s really important.

If you like it, you like it. If you don’t like it, I can accept that, that’s cool, we can still be friends.”
