Melbourne buddies The Ocean Party have released their Split LP through Spunk, and its like an audio reading of the diary of a twenty-three year old. Their clip to Quarter Life Crisis is super cute, almost TOO cute, if it weren’t for the classically cynical lyrics sung through a bored drawl:
“Another weekend over and I cant stand up, I think I might throw up, I’m sick of that life and what it does to me. I work all week, I just want a break, every time it comes, I just waste it away (and it kills me). Every weekends always the same, girl in my room, don’t know her name. I’m high on Saturday, suicidal on Sunday. I’m wastin’ my youth away“.
I feel ya, guys. I love this song, this band, and this vid. Buy the album!
