the rions

From the hottest 100 to Lime Cordial, The Rions share in their musical milestones.

Harley, Asher, Noah, and Tom, collectively known as The Rions, dropped by Happy Mag, where we had the chance to dive deep into their musical journey.

The Rions have had an incredible run, winning Triple J unearthed high, making their debut on the hottest one hundred placing at 51, and standing tall as the ones to watch at BIGSOUND 2022, and did we to forget to mention their hang with Lime Cordial?

Fresh from their signing with Sony Music Publishing, The Rions have delivered their much-awaited debut EP, “Minivan” to rave reviews. With this release, a new musical chapter unfolds before the band, accompanied by the news of a major national tour, through September and November.

Crafted in close collaboration with the seasoned producer Chris Collins, the Minivan EP allows The Rions to distill the chaos of the world around them in real-time, creating a resonant soundscape that encapsulates their experiences. “It’s a dream come true,” the band shares. “We’ve longed to bring forth this EP for years, and finally sharing it with everyone feels monumental. The stories within Minivan are our own, and we hope they connect with our fans just as powerfully.”

Moving beyond their earlier hits like ‘Sadie’ and ‘Dissociation,’ Minivan delves into the tumultuous journey of self-discovery, grappling with grief, heartbreak, and the enigmatic phase of transitioning into adulthood. Tracks like ‘Talking To Walls,’ ‘Got My Hopes Up,’ and ‘Take What You Want’ showcase a matured introspection, spotlighting the emotional crossroads that spark self-reflection, acceptance, and growth.

As The Rions keep climbing, their music becomes a genuine soundtrack, reflecting the dynamic energy of youth and the shifts that come with it. We’re looking forward to watching their growth and the music they’ll create in the process.
