In the cartoon world, few female characters are as instantly recognisable as Marge Simpson. The green dress, the pearls, the mountain of blue hair – she’s a timeless figure.

But artist AleXsandro Palombo explores Marge in a slightly different light: what would happen if the archetypal cartoon mother was transfigured into say, Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn or Coco Chanel in some of the most iconic fashion shoots of all time?
