It’s been a big year for Marlon Williams. The Kiwi born singer has had a hell of ride since the release of his acclaimed debut eponymous album earlier this year, a complex and dark body of work that has been backed up by a few tours as well. Continuing this hot streak Williams has now released the revealing clip for his single Hello Miss Lonesome.
Directed by Damien Shatford, the clip sees Williams get his can whopped by a several attackers shortly before getting stripped down to his birthday suit.
Speaking to The Fader, Williams said “I have never felt so sore as the day after the shoot. It took a while to recover from being thrown around like that. I really enjoyed that physicality, though“.
“The nudity is incidental I think, and I like that it plays into the naturalness of the theatre. I’m being stripped down by these characters – these different parts of my psyche – and being left alone by myself“.
