Matt Corby has a new single full of croony goodness plus a string of tour dates around Australia

We haven’t heard from Matt Corby for a while, mostly because he has of late been a semi-recluse, hunkered down in a cottage in Berry, NSW writing and recording a brand new album. Monday is the first taste from the so far untitled record, due out for release early 2016.

“It has been about two years since I released any music,” says Corby. “I guess I needed to spend that time learning how to practically play, on each instrument, what i would regularly hear in my head. Enough time has now passed now for me to clear my head of everything that I’ve done before, reboot and have the balls to do it again.”

Corby will also be hitting the road in support of the single, his first major tour since 2013. We can expect a bunch of new tracks plus all of Corby’s classics like Brother or Soul’s A Fire. All the details and tickets are below:

2nd November – The Tivoli – Brisbane
4th November – HQ – Adelaide
6th November – Metropolis – Fremantle
9th November – Forum Theatre – Melbourne
16th November – Metro Theatre – Sydney
