The Laurels are a ne0-psychedelic four piece from Sydney who formed after meeting at a silly hat party in 2006. The outfit garnered a strong fan base and general critical acclaim after touring extensively throughout the next four years in both headline and international support slots.
The outfit released a 7" single Art School Girl/Wandering Star in 2009 to glowing reviews with their debut album Plains dropping in 2012, produced by Liam Judson. The Laurels follow up album dropped in 2016 titled Sonicology both via Rice Is Nice.
On 21 June, 2019 The Laurels released Sound System, their first music in four years, and develops on the bands shoegazey, wall of sound presence.
