Indie record label, video production company, publishing house and just all around legends Common Cult are having a big birthday sesh on July 20th, and you’re invited.
Bastions of quirkiness and lovers of all things left-field, it’s sure to be a far cry from your average first birthday. There may not be a cake and candles, but it’s gonna be a party.
Music, art, literature and a few surprises await at Common Cult’s first birthday party, a melting pot of Melbourne’s most eclectic.
Joining the day on live music duties will be funk maestros AMIKO, the fuzzed out masterminds of Anti-Violet and lackadaisical indie rockers Meander. Tina Growls and Lewellyn Irving will also be debuting some fresh new cuts.
You’ll also be able to catch readings from a TBA cohort of Common Cult writers, as well as getting your mitts on a ton of zines and merch.
Oh, and they’ll give you a free party hat on the door. Why everyone else in the world isn’t doing this already, we don’t know.
