Charismatic six-piece The Cat Empire have revealed the details for their long awaited sixth album Rising With The Sun, and if you’re lucky, you may get your mug on the album’s cover.
The new album will be released on March 11, 2016 and the band have put out the call for fans to feature on the album; “We know The Cat Empire fan to be a spirited, international, ageless, music loving person who loves to dance and have a good time. But sometimes from stage the audience can start to look like a blur of faces. Beautiful as that is, we want to know who you are, and we want to be able to see each and every one of your faces. So we are going to shine the spotlight back on The Cat Empire global army of fans for a moment, and ask you to share a photo of yourself with us“.

The band have been busy plugging away at Rising With The Sun with producer Jan Skubiszewski for most of the year, whetting punters’ appettites with two singles Que Sera Ahora and Wolves. Speaking of the album front man Felix Riebl said “We kept everything fresh” frontman Felix Riebl revealed. “We were confident because we had a sound from our previous record (2013’s ‘Steal The Light’) that we were really happy with, so that was our starting point… it was just a matter of going back to that physical space and coming up with new songs“.
