Faye Webster, the musical maestro known for her soulful storytelling, is back with a fresh release, ‘Lifetime’. This new track, accompanied by a touching music video directed by Kyle Ng of Brain Dead, exudes Webster’s trademark blend of introspection and heartstring-tugging melodies.
Hot on the heels of the well-received ‘But Not Kiss‘, ‘Lifetime’ keeps the momentum going, delivering an intimate musical experience where Webster’s evocative vocals take the spotlight against a minimalist backdrop.
Adding to the excitement, Webster’s calendar includes a highlight appearance at Laneway Festival 2024, alongside luminaries like Steve Lacy, Stormzy, and Dominic Fike.
This gig follows the success of her sold-out US tour, featuring memorable nights at iconic venues such as Brooklyn Steel and LA’s The NoVo. Webster’s tour, spanning from October 17th to November 17th, left audiences captivated by her live renditions of cherished hits.
With ‘I Know I’m Funny haha’, her latest full-length endeavour, Webster embraced a more immersive recording process. Collaborating with producer/mixer Drew Vandenberg, she assembled a stellar crew, including Harold Brown, Bryan Howard, Nic Rosen, and Matt “Pistol” Stoessel. The result? A record that resonates with depth and authenticity.
Webster’s musical journey, rooted in her southern upbringing and shaped by her Atlanta roots, is a testament to her versatile artistry. From her debut album ‘Run & Tell’ at the age of 16 to her critically acclaimed ‘Atlanta Millionaires Club’, Webster has consistently defied genre boundaries.
