Howie Mandel’s latest podcast appearance took a sharp turn when a conversation with influencer Camilla Araujo descended into an argument over what she could, and apparently couldn’t, talk about.
Mandel and his daughter, Jackelyn Shultz. Interviewed Araujo on Howie Mandel Does Stuff.
Araujo explained that she had previously recorded a podcast with influencer Ari Kytsya and musician Yung Gravy at the same studio Jowsey uses.
Before she could finish the story, Mandel suddenly turned to Shultz and said they were “not supposed to bring it up,” referring to Kytsya.
He then addressed Araujo’s team, who were sitting nearby.
“Why don’t you bring up somebody from Bop House?” Mandel said, claiming her publicist had specifically told them not to discuss the influencer collective.
“The first note that your publicist, get her there, is saying don’t talk about Bop House. You keep bringing this shit up!”
There was just one problem: Araujo hadn’t been talking about Bop House.
“Sweetie, before you embarrass yourself any further. No one I just said was in Bop House, my love,” she shot back.
Shultz then confirmed that Araujo was correct. Neither Kytsya nor Yung Gravy was part of Bop House, the influencer collective Araujo herself left in 2025.
“See, look at you!” Araujo replied.
The conversation somehow became even more chaotic from there, eventually turning to Shultz discussing what it was like living with her father.
“It wasn’t fun,”
Mandel, apparently deciding there was no better time for some father-daughter honesty, replied: “You were a bitch.”
Araujo was understandably taken aback and eventually appeared to question Mandel’s marriage credentials.
“You’re sure you’re actively married?” she asked.
So, what began as a podcast interview about influencer culture ended with Mandel incorrectly accusing Araujo of discussing Bop House. His daughter defending her guest, and a 48-year marriage being brought in as character evidence.
Just another day in podcasting.
