Throughout the new single, hunter 505 glides through a woozy blend of soul, R&B, hip-hop, and electronica to deliver a sound uniquely his own. With flawless, glassy production, endearingly rhythmic vocal hooks, and a seriously irresistible bass line, please is oozing with new-school rap charm.
Across the track’s punchy two-and-a-half-minute run-time, a clear musical mission statement is set. The song captures that moment when a girl starts to question her “unsatisfying relationship with their overbearing yet ultimately powerless partner,” and starts to dream of a life with someone else.
