Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney have been snapped recording in the studio together for the first time in seven years.

The former Beatles bandmates spend the weekend in the studio together as Starr revealed on his Twitter account, posting a shot of him and Paul with the captionย โ€œThanks for coming over and playing Great bass. I love you man peace and love.โ€

Starr also tweeted a photo of him, McCartney and Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh, Starr’s brother-in-law, from the same studio session. “And look out Joe W. came out to play what a day I’m having,” Starr captioned.

Starr is currently in the studio working on the follow-up to 2015’s Postcards From Paradise. The last time the two Beatles collaborated together was on the drummer’s 2010 record, Y Not, with McCartney providing vocals onย Walk With You and bass on Peace Dream.

The session came just days after McCartney, Starr and Walsh, along with Tom Hanks and Dave Grohl, were all spotted dining together in Santa Monica, asย reportedย by NME.

Bloody dream team.

Keep your ears peeled for what they were working on.
