Did you do it??

Then you’re welcome.

Jimmy Junk Heart is the Tame Impala/Bleeding Knees Club influenced love baby in one manly form. An indie rock and roll bundle of a human. The Melbourne artist is a lone ranger in the writing/creation process but drags some friends along for a full band when performing a live set.

After releasing his single Loose Blonde Hair Girl, Jimmy Junk Heart has proved he is no one trick pony, and has just let loose his debut self-titled EP.  I feel it won’t be long before the j’s stamp out that red drum and shoot this guy into the popular kids group of the Australian music scene.

The four track EP feels short but fun, leaving you wanting more. It’s easy to get hooked on these tunes with scattered lalala’s, some catchy choruses and jangly surf vibse. Plenty of guitars and a pinch of tambourine action are sure to get the pretty girls swaying and bopping along. Loose Blonde Hair Girl is definitely the heart of the EP and a very welcoming opening track. A special mention from me goes out to My Girl, She’s Away though. A bit moodier and darker, yet still integrating surfie, sway-able guitar work. It only goes to show that there is versatile talent to this guy, sparking interest in which way he will go next.

I’m super excited to see what’s coming up next for this kid. AKA our wedding. Wink.
