Back in 2017, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard did the unthinkable. They released five bloody albums in twelve months. People said they’d never pull it off, but the madmen did it.
Then in 2018, they released nothing. Perhaps this is forgivable considering their musical output the previous year. But now, in 2019, the band are once again gearing up to release new music, and needless to say, we’re pretty keen.
In a new Instagram post, Melbourne psych lords King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have confirmed that new music is indeed on the way.
Last night, the Victorian seven-piece posted an image on Instagram with the caption “NeW. MuSiC. CoMiNg. SoOn.” Of course, this has led us to believe that new music from the band is coming soon.
The Instagram photo sees the band in the band in the studio alongside Tropical Fuckstorm and The Drones frontman Gareth Liddiard. For those of you familiar with Liddiard, you’ll know that everything the man touched is pure gold.
