BAM is the third addition to Red Square Music’s festival roster. Between Thursday April 25 – Sunday 28th, 2019, the event will showcase more than thirty local and international artists across various genres, so there’ll be something for everyone to choose from.
With more than thirty local and international artists to choose from, BAM has something to offer everyone across its four-day celebration of new music and art.
Headlining BAM are Kurt Vile and the Violators. The Philadelphia-born singer will be supporting his new album, Bottle It In, the follow-up to last year’s massive Courtney Barnett collaboration, Lotta Sea Lice. Vile and his band will play the Ulumbarra Theatre, Bendigo’s most esteemed venue, on Friday 26 April.
A short drive from Melbourne along the Calder Freeway, the festival will see artists play across 14 venues over four days.
“It’s great to be able to shine a light on Melbourne’s incredibly vibrant and diverse music scene at the same time as showcasing some of the great acts from the region,” says festival director Glenn Wright of today’s announcement.
