Liyah Knight performs ‘Play It Cool’ Live From Happy

PRESENTED BY

Artist/Producer Liyah Knight recently visited the Live from Happy studios with her single Play It Cool. Released yesterday (November 17), It’s the first single she’s dropped in a year.

The single is about not taking relationships and life too seriously, and enjoying the moment. Liyah wrote it with Styalz Fuego and Rudy Sandapa who then produced the track.

Play It Cool was Mixed and Recorded by Tim McArtney, Owen Penglis and Radi Safi.

This Live from Happy session was made possible by the generous support of ATEN and Mojave. ATEN provide innovative solutions for making better connections and Mojave make world class microphones that are affordable without compromise . In this session Happy utilised the indispensable ATEN UH3237 USB-C Docking Station and the Mojave MA-D Dynamic Handheld Microphone.

Stepping in with her friend and musical collaborator Finbar on keys, they gave us a soulful, stripped-back version of Play It Cool. If you want to see Liyah Knight live, she’s launching the single on December 8th in Sydney at TIVA

Liyah Knight is no stranger to us, as she recently made a Somewhere Sounds sample pack for us. She explored her mum’s costume workshop using sewing machines, beads, costumes and an old cash register (that’s been in the family for many generations) to build her pack.

Here’s what Liyah Knight had to say about Play It Cool before taking to the stage:

“It’s about not taking anything too seriously and going with the flow.”
