We had a chat with Macey about his new album Once, and what lead him here!

The New Zealand artist revealed he’s been creating music since age five, when he wrote his first song, ‘The Sparrow,’ on the piano.

His new album marks a significant evolution from his debut, The Lovers.

“I’ve grown up a bit,” Macey explained. “I’m writing from a less emotionally reactive place and it’s more reflective.”

The singer recently celebrated a sold-out album launch at Auckland’s iconic Tuning Fork, surrounded by friends and family. He described the venue as a classic spot for proper music lovers.

The interview was fuelled by multiple cups of coffee plus some Sprocket, who always keep the energy flowing.
