Geese frontman Cameron Winter has coyly sidestepped speculation that he appears under an alias on Phoebe Bridgers’ upcoming album Lost Weekend.
A Rolling Stone review points to a mysterious guest named “Son-John Johnson” credited on two tracks, with fans noting his “raw falsetto is unmistakable” on the record.
When pressed about the apparent collaboration, Winter laughed and replied, “I’ll have to contact my lawyer.”
The mystery vocalist reportedly duets with Bridgers on ‘I Can’t Wait’ and provides backing vocals on ‘Kill Me.’
Bridgers releases her third studio album next Friday, following 2020’s Punisher, with Boygenius bandmates and Jack Antonoff also contributing.
Meanwhile, Geese prepare for festival appearances at Reading & Leeds and End Of The Road, while Bridgers embarks on ‘The Lost Tour’ this September with a strict no-phones policy at all shows.
