Maximon unveil their wild new video for Animal Lecter

Last week, when Sydney-based outfit Maximon unveiled their latest single Animal Lecter, we were immediately on board with their unique blend of sounds. The band craft tunes that feel simultaneously laid-back and energetic; it’s the kind of music that seeps into your bones and makes you groove. Animal Lecter is a prime example of this.

Now, the band have dropped a brand-spanking-new music video for that very track, and with its release, they continue to build themselves as one of the Aussie music scene’s most unique and exciting emerging acts. If you’re not already familiar with this band, this new video clip is the perfect introduction.

With the release of their new video for Animal Lecter, Sydney band Maximon continue to build themselves as a band to watch.

The new music video is as surreal and bizarre as the song it accompanies. Following a masked man making his way to a party, the clip sees the robbery of a skateboard, ciggies on the beach, and destroyed picnic snacks—all the good stuff.  All these bizarre scenes, set alongside the track’s brilliant concoction of genres, create the perfect audio/visual alliance.

These are still relatively early days for this Sydney outfit, but judging by the quality of everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more great material. In the meantime, do yourself a favour and watch the new video for Animal Lecter below:
