N.E.R.D.’s debut album In Search Of… is getting a deluxe reissue with bonus tracks

Pharrell Williams’ rap-hybrid project with Chad Hugo and Shay Hayley, N.E.R.D., have just announced a deluxe reissue of their debut album In Search Of…

The reissue package will be available for purchase on October 25 via UMC/Polydor and will be released as a 4xLP box set complete with a hardcover photo book and an assortment of bonus tracks.

N.E.R.D is releasing a deluxe edition of In Search Of… which will include both the 2001 ‘electronic’ and the 2002 ‘rock’ versions of the album.

The new release will include both versions of the EP, including the original 2001 ‘electronic’ version and the 2002 ‘rock’ version. The first edition of the album was released only in Europe and included an intro track as well as three numbers that were part of the singles Things Are Getting BetterStay Together and Tape You. The second version contained a range of analogue instruments and was distributed worldwide.

There will also be seven bonus tracks including a Trent Renzor remix of Lapdance and the Zero 7 remix of Provider. The trio have created the ultimate fan collection, which will include vinyl versions of both album renditions packaged together with a 24-page booklet in a rigid slipcase.

N.E.R.D. have since gone on to produce four more albums of influential, genre-blurring hip-hop, their most recent being their 2017 album No One Ever Really Dies. Check out a preview of the reissue below:
