Sydney-based singer Nicole Millar is a voice we’re pretty familiar with. She’s sung with an array of artists, ranging from Peking Duk to Cosmo’s Midnight and Rüfüs, but she has yet to put out a track of her own. That is until now.
The single, titled Wait, saw Millar spending some time in LA, Melbourne and Sydney writing and recording. “I’ve taken some time off to write and record songs to develop my sound,” says Millar of the track. “Wait was written over a year ago. We wrote this track in a day but it went through a bit to get to the sound I was looking for. When I was over in the states I met a producer. We really got along and I felt he understood the artist in me. He then finished off Wait and I’m so happy with the outcome I’m excited to show everyone this track after the journey it’s been through.”
The track features Millar’s signature smoldering vocals laid over frolicking beats and subtle synths. It was produced by Dan Farber, know for both his solo work and for collaborations with Borgore, plus some remixes for both Mad Decent and Dim Mak Records artists.
