If your two biggest passions are metal music and Ned Flanders, you are in luck. Ned Flanders themed metal band Okilly Dokilly will be hitting Australian shores in February 2020.
The band have locked in an action-packed five day, five show tour schedule for Brisbane, Canberra, Newcastle, Sydney and Melbourne. It’s fair to say that the band’s ‘Nedal’ has achieved a cult following and they cannot wait to headline their first ever Australian tour.
Phoenix based ‘Nedal’ band Okilly Dokilly have announced their first ever tour down under, only to be supported by another Simpsons-themed metal band.
And if you’re a fan of The Simpsons but you aren’t particularly fond of Ned Flanders, Okilly Dokilly will be supported nationwide by Melbourne Simpsons-themed metal band, DR. COLOSSUS.
Okilly Dokilly started off as a viral phenomenon in 2015. Their debut record Howdilly Doodilly was characterised by ample amounts of ‘Flanderisms’, but also enough guitar riffs that satisfied the common metal lover.
The band’s cult status is epitomised by their OTT and hilarious White Wine Spritzer music video. If that’s anything to go by, their tour is sure to be a unique one and could appeal to those looking to expand their music taste into unknown territory.
