Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament has launched an intriguing new solo project called Ament. In what can only be described as an experimental piece of rock, Ament drops a single sure to please audiences across the musical spectrum with the eternally-enduring vocals of Angel Olsen.
The Shut Up and Kiss Me artist lends her voice to the track, titled Safe in the Car. While slightly weird and fuzzy, the song still evokes some real excitement over what Ament will create next.

Indie darling Angel Olsen has long been inspiring musos from all walks of life. Ament himself previously listed Olsen as the act behind one of his favourite songs of 2017. Perhaps then, the collaboration isn’t too left field.
Through an announcement on the Pearl Jam website, the Ament revealed a full length album called Heaven/Hell is in the works. As of yet, no release date is slated.
