PREMIERE: The Gaze returns with Nobody, the latest taste from his upcoming EP

Later this year, Melbourne artist The Gaze (real name Sam Cremean) will release his debut five-track EP Sociable. Considering the quality of everything he’s shared with us so far, we’re pretty excited. Cremean creates shimmering R&B-pop for the digital age – it’s sultry, smooth, and completely irresistible.

Today, Cremean has shared Nobody; the latest taste of his aforementioned upcoming EP. For the track, he has teamed with Canberra-based singer/producer Yokelust, and the two sounds reflect off one another to create something truly hypnotic.

For his latest single Nobody, Melbourne’s The Gaze has teamed with Canberran artist Yokelust. The result is one of the sultriest tracks we’ve come across in some time.

Nobody is the latest in a string of great releases from The Gaze, and sees the artist continue to refine his blend of woozy pop sounds. With layers of slick vocal hooks and textured beats, the track explores themes of privacy and gay hook-up culture.

We had a lot of fun recording Nobody. I’ve always really liked Yokelust’s style so we aimed for a track that captures both our styles,” Cremean says of the new track.

It’s dark and moody, but also camp and fun (like us). I hope to dance to it at a seedy gay club soon.

With another incredible single now under his belt, The Gaze looks poised for great things. We strongly recommend you keep an eye on this name. And of course, keep your eyes peeled for his debut EP – here’s hoping it arrives before too long.
