In 1993, Primal Scream recorded a new album at Memphis’ Ardent Studios with producer Tom Dowd and the Muscle Shoals rhythm section.
However, the band reworked these recordings with a new producer, George Drakoulias. It was these reworked versions that became their 1994 album Give Out But Don’t Give Up. Though now, for the first time ever, the band are releasing the original recordings.
Primal Scream’s long-lost original 1993 recordings of Give Out But Don’t Give Up are finally being released for the first time ever.
With the newly unearthed recordings being found in guitarist Andrew Innes’ basement, the band have announced they’ll be releasing the scrapped tracks in a new album titled Give Out But Don’t Give Up: The Original Memphis Sessions.
The new album will be released on October 12th through Sony Music. You can preorder the album here.
