PREMIERE: A new clip, a national tour and their own label. Psychedelic Porn Crumpets fans just won the lottery

If you count yourself among the rapidly growing fanbase of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, get ready for Christmas in July. The four lads from Perth are taking it to the stratosphere today, sharing the biggest news of their careers to date.

They’ve announced the launch of What Reality? Records, their very own independent label, a national tour beginning in August, and a brand spanking new clip for their righteous High Visceral {Part 2} cut Buzz.

Announcing a whack new clip for Buzz, their second national tour of 2017 and the band’s very own label, it’s a good day to be a Psychedelic Porn Crumpets fan.

From the Crumpets themselves, hear why they knew taking on their own label was the right move:

“What Reality represents the DIY approach of getting stuck into existence, taking a risk, pursuing ideas, setting goals and trying to dream big while giving ourselves a leg to stand on. In PPC we just want to make records and play gigs so it feels like the logical progression is to set up a platform where we can make that happen and profit from it while remaining independent. We all have other side projects or bands we’ve formed that we’d love to expand on and release albums that can also be pressed to vinyl.”

“Rhubarb Records helped us see this potential and Dylan has been great in the whole process of teaching us how to self-operate and remain unconstrained allowing us to grow as a band. The idea is for What Reality? Records to evolve with PPC and recycle all profits from vinyl sales into the production of our future projects. Hopefully down the track we can give that same opportunity to other bands we enjoy working with so they can keep making music.”

The first official release on What Reality will be twin reissues of the Porn Crumpets’ first and second albums High Visceral {Part 1} and High Visceral {Part 2}. They’re limited to 130 copies, so head here to grab yours.

Today you can also catch the insane new clip for Buzz, which harks into the near future when Australian children control society and a group of weary adults find refuge from their rule in a secret commune.

Written and directed by John McGovarin, it’s the band’s gnarliest clip by a longshot, but not without being tongue-in-cheek. The production is off-chops, the storyline is whacky fantastic and the song, of course, is a ripper.
