Sydney, you have two more weeks before GoodGod is sold and becomes Plan B Small Club

Beloved Sydney live venue, and the best place to get a feed for under $10, Goodgod Small Club has officially announced it will be changing hands in two weeks.

Goodgod small club sale

Jimmy Sing and Hana Shimada, who were the owners of the club for the past five years, put the venue on the market in September. Today news has come through that Esperance Hotel Group has acquired the popular basement, which will be rechristened Plan B Small Club as of Wednesday December 16. All upcoming gigs are still on schedule following the takeover.

There is no need to despair though, Goodgod will be going out in style with plenty of gigs on offer in the next two weeks. There will be not one, but two (2) farewell concerts. Goodgod & Good Night Will go down Wednesday December 9 with Twerps, Straight Arrows and Bed Wettin’ Bad Boys taking the stage, and Goodgod & Goodbye: The Final Dance happening on December 12, with a full lineup to be announced soon.

If you love Goodgod for their sweet trivia nights and delicious grub, don’t fear, Plan B Small Club will be keeping both. Taking to the new venue’s Facebook page, the folks from Plan B said “We’ll continue working to present some of the most talented national and international acts at PLAN B … We are so honoured to have this opportunity and thank the Goodgod owners Jimmy and Hana for all they have done over the past 5 years. We wish them the best of luck and look forward to their next incarnations in the new year.
