Melbourne Music Week is ready to go again this year, running from November 13th to November 20th, and to kick things off they have announced two incredible headline acts: legendary 60s revivalists The Brian Jonestown Massacre and sound-art hero Robert Henke.
The BJM only recently announced that they were heading to Australia in celebration of their 25th anniversary, including dates in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Now they will also be performing a mammoth two-hour set in Melbourne’s Town Hall – which will feature the in-house ten-thousand pipe Grand Organ – on Sunday, November 15th. Robert Henke is a legendary sound-art producer with a long history in developing the ‘Berlin’ sound, as well as working under the pseudonym Monolake. He will perform his mind-blowing Lumiere II show at the Melbourne Recital Centre on Thursday, November 19th.
