Triple J Unearthed High winners Mosquito Coast release new track Commotion

After taking the gold at this year’s triple J Unearthed High competition Mosquito Coast have released their victory lap single Commotion.

Premiered on Matt and Alex’s breakfast show this morning, the Perth duo recorded the new single at the triple J studios. Speaking to the radio station vocalist Naomi Robinson said “We finished writing it four days ago in PerthAnd we wrote the lyrics 30 minutes before we got to the studio in a burst of inspiration. We wanted to wait until the exact right time“.

Drummer Connor Barton “We wrote ‘Call My Name’ in January, and we’ve been jamming out new material since then. With ‘Commotion’, we knew the pressure was on, and we wanted to make something really great”. 

The pair are currently buckling down for their high school exams, but there are sure to be some shows down the line.
