The Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) will be offering a 5-day intensive course with radio journalist Mellissa Femia; a one-on-one giving you all the essential skills to kickstart your career in radio.

Your tutor Melissa Femia has over two decades of industry experience, most recently working as an entertainment reporter for Seven’s The Morning Show and is currently a presenter on Sydney’s KIIS 106.5 FM.

The school’s recent collaboration with Eastside Radio resulted in a hugely successful program and is set to deliver even more positive outcomes in the next round of courses. Take it from an alumni who has just graduated from a Diplolma in Radio, Jayce Flaxman, who started with a course at AFTRS and then went on to produce and manage his own show, then came back to enhance his career journey.

Flaxman had more than a few things to say about the positive impact that these courses have had in gaining priceless skills within the industry. You can listen to his interview with Eastside Radio here.

The course will be running between the 6th to the 10th of January and applications are currently open for the course through their website. Spaces are extremely limited so get in quick!
