Last Friday the Hero Complex Galaxy gallery in Los Angeles saw a collection of different artists showing off their work for an event called Sci-Scapes.
Here’s a challenge: can you find all the pop culture references in this epic sci-fi Where’s Wally crossover by Laurie Greasley and Josan Gonzalez?
Among them were Laurie Greasley and Josan Gonzalez, a duo who presented a collaborative effort that combines the insanely detailed intricacy of Where’s Wally with a deluge of pop culture references.
Their piece, titled The Raid, is a cornucopia of sci-fi references, from RoboCop to Total Recall to Alien to Stranger Things amalgamated into one huge, chaotic scene.

Earlier this year, Gonzalez started a Kickstarter campaign to help launch a second volume of his collected sci-fi and comic book art. Friday’s show was dedicated to new pieces inspired by the artwork of people like Moebious, Katsuhiro Otmo and Geof Darro.
