Creedence Clearwater Revival’s historic Woodstock set is getting pressed to vinyl

Seminal rock n roll band Creedence Clearwater Revival are set to be reanimated this August with a vinyl release of their massive 1969 Woodstock set. One of the biggest bands of the era, Live at Woodstock shows Creedence delivering a slew of their pre-Fortunate Son hits at the iconic festival.

This is the first time fans will get access to the full set from the band, having been given a taste of select tracks on the 40th-anniversary Woodstock compilation.

Live at Woodstock features Creedence Clearwater Revival’s hour-long set at the 1969 Woodstock Festival for the first time in its entirety.

Technical difficulties, organisational fallback and an extended Grateful Dead set meant that Creedence took the stage a little after midnight. Due to a lack of crowd enthusiasm, the band wanted to be omitted from any documentary coverage of the festival. Finally, fans are given the front row seat they’ve been dreaming of.

John Fogerty of CCR was set to play Woodstock’s 50th anniversary this year, but major problems have plagued the event and the reality of it going ahead is looking dim.

The record releases through Craft Records August 2nd this year. Listen to the opening song of the set Born on the Bayou now.
