Megan Skiendiel injured her ankle during rehearsals, forcing KATSEYE to pull out of Olivia Rodrigo’s festival.

KATSEYE won’t be taking the stage at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields Festival this weekend after Megan Skiendiel suffered an ankle injury during tour rehearsals.

The group announced the cancellation on Weverse. Explaining that Megan sprained her ankle on Wednesday and doctors have advised her to rest while it heals.

“We’re so incredibly sorry to share that we are unable to perform at Daisy Chain Fields this Saturday,” KATSEYE said. “Megan sprained her ankle yesterday during tour rehearsal and after being evaluated by doctors. She has been advised to stay off it and allow it to properly heal so we can be ready for our upcoming tour.”

The news comes as a blow to fans who were looking forward to seeing the group at Rodrigo’s highly anticipated festival in Irvine, California.

KATSEYE said it “breaks our hearts” to miss the event, particularly because of the festival’s focus on community and joy.

“We were especially excited for Daisy Chain Fields because it’s not just about music. But the greater mission of joy and community,” the group said.

The members also sent their support to Rodrigo and everyone involved in putting the festival together, including its artists, nonprofit organisations and volunteers.

“We’re sending all our love to Olivia and to all of the incredible artists, non-profit organizations and volunteers who have given their time to make this day so special,” they added.

While Megan’s injury means KATSEYE will have to sit this one out. The group reassured fans that they’re focused on getting her healthy ahead of their upcoming tour.

“We can’t wait to see everyone out on tour,” they said.
