Jenner says she’s ready to take risks and make the most of the years she feels she missed.
Kylie Jenner has spent most of her twenties doing something that tends to make you grow up rather quickly: raising two kids.
Now, at 29, she’s admitting that becoming a mum so young came with a trade-off. She feels like she missed some of the carefree years she was supposed to be having.
In a new Who What Wear profile, Jenner opened up about motherhood, ageing and her plans to make the most of the years she has left in her twenties.
“Even though I already have children—so young— I feel like I lived such an adult life when I was young,” Jenner said.
That doesn’t mean she regrets having children.
“I’m trying to make sure that I don’t have any regrets. And to do brave things and give myself more opportunities or take advantage of the ones I have,” she explained.
Jenner has previously spoken about the difficult years surrounding her pregnancies, including postpartum depression and the recovery that followed.
She now says she deliberately promised herself she wouldn’t have another child in her twenties.
“I made a promise to myself at 25 that I was not going to have any more children. Right now—and really just enjoy the last half of my 20s,” she said.
Now she seems interested in finding out who she is when motherhood isn’t the only major milestone on the horizon.
But there’s a bigger shift happening underneath all the family photos, film offers and business ventures.
Jenner spent her early twenties growing up fast; now she wants to see what happens when she slows down and actually gives herself some time to live.
