The Preverb makers’ new plugin retriggers any sample on the grid with an 8-step pitch sequencer and MPC and SP-12 groove templates.
Low End Candy has released Ratchet, a free grid-synced sample chopper for Mac and Windows.
It retriggers loops, vocals or one-shots from one bar down to 1/32nd notes, straight, dotted or triplet, with an 8-step level and pitch sequencer for pitched hat rolls.
A single SHUFFLE/GROOVE knob sweeps through Classic, MPC, SP-12, Triplet and Human feels, while LOCK snaps chop starts to real transients.
Also included are varispeed pitch across 24 semitones, reverse, a band-pass filter with saturation, capture from track, and drag-out chop printing as a one-shot WAV.
Available now in VST3 and AU with 18 presets.
