Spookyland are a Sydney four-piece spearheaded by Marcus Gordon. Since their magnetically pessimistic debut singe The Silly Fucking Thing in 2014, Spookyland have achieved significant positive attention. Their 2015 debut ep Rock and Roll Weakling, released via Monday Records, received significant critical acclaim.
Spookyland have played at festivals such as Lallapalooza and SXSW as well as supported Jake Bugg, Gary Clark Jr., Cold War Kids and The Lemonheads on tour. Their debut album Beauty Already Beautiful was recorded over three weeks in Omaha, Nebraska at Conor Oberst's Saddle Creek compound and released via PIAS Group.
Beauty Already Beautiful was a highmark for the outfit drawing on a wealth of rock history with a sense of dire urgency, vitality and lyrical mastery.
