Live music is back in Sydney, and Young Henrys are here for it. Don’t miss Best Served Loud this October and November, a series of COVID-safe events featuring your favourite local artists.
Young Henrys and Waywards have announced Best Served Loud, a five-week series of COVID-safe gigs taking place at one of Newtown’s best-loved venues. For those of you who’ve been on the fence about returning to your favourite digs for a good old fashioned live show, this could be your return to arms.
Serving you some of NSW’s favourite artists between October 23rd and November 20th on a weekly basis, the lineup features the likes of Totally Unicorn, Iluka, The Dead Love, Citizen Kay, and heaps of others.
If a mosh is what you’ve been missing most, then Totally Unicorn with Good Pash on the side will be your best bet. You’ll have to stay seated, of course, but you know these rockers will bring some of that reckless energy you’ve been waiting six months for a hit of.
On the softer side Iluka will surely dazzle with her eccentric pop compositions, and with Salarymen on support you’ll be starry-eyed in no time. For a dose of hip hop, rock up to Citizen Kay on the November 13th, and find out why everybody’s talking about Ms. Thandi while you’re at it.
No matter what your tastes, there’s a show for you in the Best Served Loud series. The common denominator here is simply a damn good gig – not to mention Young Henrys pouring all night long.
Tickets will set you back $10, with all proceeds going directly to Aus music charity Support Act. As this is a COVID-safe, seated event, tickets must be purchased in groups of four.
Check out the full Best Served Loud lineup and performance dates below. All events take place at Waywards, upstairs at The Bank Hotel in Newtown, and each night will host two sessions at 6:30pm and 9:30pm.
