Cult synth Synthstrom Deluge goes on world tour

Wellington-based boutique synth manufacturer Synthstrom Audible will be kicking off a world tour celebrating the launch of their own record label, headlined by their flagship product, the cult favourite Synthstrom Deluge.

Synthstrom Audible had previously announced the record label, designed to showcase their instrument. Synthstrom invited users to submit tracks in consideration for inclusion on the debut release, and the result is a double vinyl, aptly named Release.Deluge

Supporting the launch of Synthstrom’s debut record release, cult synthesiser Synthstrom Deluge will be touring the world, including Australia.

Featuring 30 events across ten countries, the tour features a rotating range of artists performing on the Synthstrom Deluge, including performers from Release and other featured artists. Interestingly, the shows also offer the opportunity for local users of the Deluge to perform five-minute sets.

Originally launched three years ago, the Synthstrom Deluge has taken on cult status as an all-in-one synthesiser, sampler, and sequencer. Featuring a dazzling array of features and effects, the Deluge quickly became a highly sought after machine. With ridiculous specs such as 64 voice polyphony, 90 simultaneous sample voices, and the possibility of sequencing over 2 million notes while somehow being battery powered, it’s not hard to see why the Deluge garnered such a following.

Beginning in New Zealand on the 27th of February, the tour will hit Australia from the 12th-14th of March. For more information on events and ticket details, head to Synthstrom.
