Will – Café de Vili’s (Mile End, Adelaide)
Order: 2x Beef Pies, 600ml Farmer’s Union Iced Coffee
Right on the hustle and bustle of South Rd, Adelaide, there’s a little place of joy called Café De Vili’s. 24 hours, 7 days a week, for all your bakery needs. This place has been an institution in my family for over 25 years.
Being a South Australian, there are a number of comforts that come from the festival state, and a fresh meat pie at Café De Vili’s is a top favourite. Accompanied by a 600ml Farmers Union, you can’t go wrong. Carn Pear.
Ben – Wonky Trolley (North Melbourne, Melbourne)
Order: 3051 Burger with Jalapeños, Poutine Fries, Can of Coke
Double beef, double cheese. VERY nice mystery sauce. My favourite burger comes to the door in under 15 mins. I’ve never been to the restaurant before because delivery is quick, but I can imagine it’d be a pretty nifty setup.

Ted – Hawthorn Grill House (Hawthorn, Melbourne)
Order: Mixed HSP, holy trinity of sauces, add jalapeños, Kirk’s Pasito
On the corner of Burwood and Glenferrie roads sits Hawthorn Grill House who are masters of their cuisine. Jack and Muhammad will sort you out with the sickest mixed HSP – don’t forget the jalapeños – and grab yourself a Kirk’s Pasito from the fridge.
Andy – Il Amalfi Pizza (Kew, Melbourne)
Order: Large Vegetarian Pizza… add salami. Also a can of Kirk’s Pasito
For a late-night munch call up Il Amalfi Pizza in Kew. Order a Vegetarian pizza and add salami for the best of both worlds. It’s all about balance. Cop a bottle of everyone’s favourite tropical flavoured soda as well.
Carlos – Belle’s Hot Chicken (Richmond and Fitzroy, Melbourne)
Order: Chicken Tenders (Hot) with chips, bread and pickles, Mississippi Comeback Sauce, Bottle of Solo
Belle’s has been my ideal stomach liner for quite a while now, and the tenders are the best thing to get in my humble, but confident opinion. Got a lot of bite about it so be careful, don’t hurt urself.
This why I take precautions and order Solo to put out the fire. Pro tip: make a little taco using the piece of bread, the pickles and the chook.
