Newtown boys DMA’s have dropped a sweet new track on the world with their latest single Lay Down. The song was premiered over night on Annie Mac’s BBC 1 show.
Lay Down is the first taste of the band’s highly anticipated debut album, and was recorded and produced by guitarist Johnny Took and Dylan Adams in Coogee last summer with Spike Stent (Depeche Mode, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, Massive Attack) on mixing duties.
It’s been a huge year for the trio, with their previous singles Laced and Delete earning them plenty of love. Following their triumphant shows at last year’s CMJ in New York the band were snatched up by indie lables Mom+Pop and Infectious in North America and Europe respectively.
You can catch DMA’s when they perform at St Jerome’s Laneway Festival next February.
