Dolly Parton is launching a pet apparel collection called ‘Doggy Parton’. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to animal rescue efforts.
Just yesterday, Dolly Parton shared via Twitter that she is launching a clothing and accessories line for pets called ‘Doggy Parton’. In line with her stellar reputation of generosity, the country music icon will be donating part of the proceeds to an animal rescue organisation by the name of Willa B Farms.
“Puppy Love was my very first record, and six decades later, my love for pets is stronger than ever. This inspired me to start my own line of Doggy Parton apparel, accessories, toys and more with a little ‘Dolly’ flair,” she explained in her Twitter video post. “Part of the proceeds will go to support Willa B Farms, a rescue where animals in need find never-ending love. Don’t we all need that?”
As reported by NPR, the apparel line will include “fringe-trimmed cowgirl dresses, rhinestone-bejeweled harnesses, gingham shirts and bandanas, concert T-shirts, toys and even a blond wig inspired by the singer.”
The official online store, doggyparton.com is yet to launch, but the apparel collection is currently available on Amazon exclusively. Check it out here.
