Speaking to Vice founder Shane Smith, band members Jesse Hughes, Matt McJunkins, Eden Galindo, Julian Dorio and sound engineer Shawn London spoke for the first time about the night. They are eventually joined by Joshua Homme, who was present that night in at the Bataclan. Speaking candidly about the future, Hughes says “I cannot wait to get back to Paris. I Cannot wait to play. I want to be the first band to play in the Bataclan when it opens back up, because I was there when it went silent for a minute“.

The attacks were part of a series of coordinated attacks across Paris on November 13, where 89 people lost their lives at the concert.
