OK Computer’s cover location has been revealed and fans are already rushing to the scene of the crime

Radiohead fans are proving their dedication, with one Nancy Drew in particular solving the mystery as to where the photo on record OK Computer was taken

As it turns out, the photograph was taken of the highway interchange in Hartford, Connecticut from the window of the Hilton hotel. The band reportedly stayed at the hotel after playing one of their last live shows in August of 1996 in Hartford.

A fan has confirmed the Ok Computer location theory, actually travelling to the hotel with their copy of Radiohead’s seminal album on vinyl.

It wasn’t until they lined up their record outside the window of room 22 between Interstates 84 and 91, that the mystery was no longer.

A fan actually travelled to the hotel to confirm the theory in question, with their copy of Radiohead’s OK Computer on vinyl. It wasn’t until they lined up their record outside the window of room 22 between Interstates 84 and 91, that the missing puzzle piece was found.

The Hilton Hartford Hotel then posted on their Facebook page, “For those wondering, this photo was just taken from our suite on 22nd floor. When overlaid, the view is a good match with what’s seen on the OK Computer cover art. We’re in awe of this great sleuthing and the ‘roadgeek’ community.”

Take a look below at the uncanny resemblance.
