Jimi The Kween joined us at BIGSOUND for a chat about club culture, new music and their upcoming mixtape Pretty Club Girl.
The Melbourne artist has spent the year moving between drag, DJing, clubs and festival stages, with new music along the way. Their latest single, ‘Give It To Me’, landed just ahead of BIGSOUND.

Pretty Club Girl is due out later this month, bringing together the different sides of Jimi’s music — from pop and techno to some bigger, more theatrical moments.
But club culture is still at the centre of it. That comes through in the music, and probably makes the most sense once you’re actually in a room with it.
We talked about the mixtape, BIGSOUND, queer artists finding their place in the room and what Jimi has planned next.
