Next month, as part of Newtown Festival, Heaps Gay will be taking over the Marrickville Bowlo for an epic afternoon and night of music, art, and of course… lawn bowls.
So grab yourself some mates, enter a team in this not-so-competitive bowling comp, and enjoy some bevvies and dancing in the Spring arvo sun.
An afternoon of music, art and lawn bowls? Sign me up. Heaps Gay have announced their 2018 Fruit Bowl… and oh my God, this looks absolutely incredible.
Alternatively, if you’re not the sporty type, just head along and soak in the good vibes… and maybe heckle some competitors.
On the day, there will be prizes for the best dressed team, most earth-shattering victory celebration, over-the-top soccer mum, a pity prize for piss poor performance under pressure, as well as an extra special prize for the ultimate FRUIT BOWL victors.
But of course, with a party that lasts all day and night, there are no losers at Fruit Bowl!
If you want to get involved in bowling comp, check out the logistics below:
1. Grab 3 mates (teams of 4)
2. Choose a team name!
3. Pay your $65 registration to play ($15 bucks a person + BF, all going to the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre)
4. Create your best look – You better werk!
5. Turn up for on-day for registration at 2.30 pm sharp
6. Get your bowl on with games starting from 3.00 pm
The party will start at 2pm and run until 12am. $10 donation for all not competing in the comp.
